Virtualslay Licensing & DMCA Policy for IMVU Creators

At Virtualslay, we take asset theft very seriously. Unauthorized use of paid assets harms creators, devalues their work, and negatively impacts the IMVU creative space as a whole. For this reason, we will always strictly enforce our licensing terms.

Virtualslay does NOT issue DMCA notices against legitimate rule abiding customers. If you have purchased a product under your registered Creator ID, you are fully licensed to use it within our terms of sale.

However, if an individual does not have a valid purchase for a specific Creator ID, they run the very real risk of facing a DMCA takedown on IMVU. This includes alt. accounts!

IMVU’s enforcement of asset theft is quite severe—punishments may include:

  • Product removals
  • Account restrictions
  • Permanent bans from creating.

Additional Consequences:

  • Being caught stealing from Virtualslay may result in being permanently blacklisted as a customer, losing access to our community and future products.
  • Legitimate DMCA takedowns are final. We do not issue DMCA retractions for unlicensed assets once we have them removed.
  • Any actions IMVU takes against creators found to have been stealing assets and proven as such are solely their decision. Virtualslay has absolutely no say in IMVU’s enforcement of their Terms of Service and any action they may take is of their own volition, they reserve the right to take these actions as per their TOS.

We strongly advise all creators to ensure they have legitimate licensing for the Creator ID they are using. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out for verification before using an asset.

Protecting creators = protecting the IMVU creative community. Let’s keep this space ethical, fair, and sustainable for everyone.
